Established 30 years ago by three internationally acclaimed solo artists – pianist Joseph Kalichstein, violinist Jaime Laredo, and cellist Sharon Robinson— this consummate ensemble is considered to be among the world’s greatest piano trios. Having maintained its original membership, the trio has created a legacy of many recordings and newly commissioned works, as well as their many annual appearances at many of the world’s major concert halls. In 2002, an international prize for piano trios was named in their honor, and as a member of the KLR award consortium, Town & Gown presents the winning trios every other season.

Haydn Trio, Hob. XV: 28; Schubert Trio in E-flat, Op. 100, D. 898 ; Mendelssohn's Trio in C minor, Op. 66. (2009 marks the 200th. anniversary of Mendelssohn's birth and of Haydn'death.)
